A Sarasota Beach Day by Exotic Car: Practical Tips
A beach day and an exotic car go together well in Sarasota, but a low two-seater is not a beach wagon. A few practical points make the day easier.
Go early or go late
Beach roads and lots can be busy at midday, especially on weekends. Early morning or late afternoon gives you more space, softer light and easier parking.
Mind the space
Mid-engine cars have limited luggage room. Pack light for a convertible: towels, a small cooler and a bag. If you have a lot of gear or a larger group, choose an SUV such as the Urus, Bentayga or Escalade ESV.
Keep sand and salt out of the cabin
Shake off towels and feet before getting in, and avoid wet swimwear on the seats. Sand and salt are hard on leather and controls, and a little care keeps the car in good shape.
Sun and top-down comfort
Florida sun is strong. Wear sunscreen and a hat you can secure, and bring water. If you are parking in direct sun, expect hot seats.
Parking
Beach parking can fill on busy days. Choose a spot where you can see the car, park carefully against the edge of the space, and do not leave valuables in view.
